Enter annual CTC and select Calculate. Optional amounts stay blank until you enter them, and a blank amount is treated as zero.

An estimate based on the inputs and assumptions shown. Verify the result before using it for payroll, tax or employee decisions. Displayed amounts are rounded to the nearest paisa. TDS is the monthly figure you enter. This page does not calculate tax.

Method and assumptions

Annual fixed cash earnings equal CTC minus variable pay, employer PF, gratuity provision and other employer costs. Monthly take-home equals fixed cash earnings divided by 12, minus the monthly employee deductions you enter. Employer PF is not deducted a second time. Variable pay is left out of regular monthly take-home. Blank optional amounts are treated as zero.

Frequently asked questions

Find answers about the tool, its inputs and how to interpret the result.

Is CTC the same as take-home salary?

No. CTC can include employer contributions, benefits and variable pay that are not credited as monthly salary.

Why is this an estimate?

Actual payroll depends on your salary structure, tax deductions, benefits and employer policy. Check the result against the offer breakup.

Does the calculator work out my tax automatically?

The initial version uses the monthly TDS amount you enter. Automatic tax calculation should appear only when the supported financial year and method are implemented.

Does variable pay count as monthly salary?

This tool separates annual variable pay from fixed monthly cash earnings because its amount and payout timing may differ.
